Today, I would like to talk about a really important problem in our personal lives. The excessive use of social media by our current youth. Did you know that three billion people, that is about 40 percent of the world’s population, use online social media and that we’re spending an average of two hours every day on our snapchat’s, instagram’s, twitters, etc. Social media has become such a huge part our personal lives and we even let it define some part of who we are. It has its pro’s like the fact that it is the ultimate/best source for us to stay connected to the world around us; but social media also negatively impacts our health, especially our mental health, and wastes the time that we could be using on more important things such as maintaining our relationships with our family and friends or preparing for work or school.
